Re: Bands you feel like you should like but can't get into
No means No were the best punk band in canada in the late 80's...you don't need to own anything after Wrong though: [youtubeurl]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQLFpJuZ8zI&feature=related[/youtubeurl] A lot of people think Wrong's their best, I personally think almost every album they put out af...

Re: raps
I don't listen to too much hip hop but I've gone through periods of listening to Busdriver exclusively. I like Cannibal Ox and some of the stuff I've heard from Gift of Gab, Doseone and El-P. I'd like to check out more, it's just kind of daunting since I don't know a whole lot about the genre to see...

Re: Bands you feel like you should like but can't get into
Quick question though: do you smoke weed? Cuz if you don't, I may have figured out why you don't like them all that much. Ha ha, not really anymore. I do like a lot of sludge/ stoner/ experimental stuff. I can definitely appreciate them though, and King Buzzo is one of the funniest interviewees out...

Re: Bands you feel like you should like but can't get into
NoMeansNo's been my favorite band since I was 13, but I can definitely see why they wouldn't be some people's cup of tea. Despite my best efforts I've never quite been able to get into the Melvins, which is heresy in some circles. I like a lot of their riffs and some of their individual songs but I'...

Re: Greber, drum + bass grind/whatever from Canada
Ha ha, yeah that's him alright. He used to rock a cordless bass and would run up and down the ramps whenever Tugnut played the skate park here. Solid gentleman too, I musta hosted those guys 6 or 7 times and they were always super cool even when there was only 8 or 9 people there.

Re: CIRCLE JERKS > BLACK FLAG
I personally like Group Sex and Wild In the Streets way more than any Flag album. Golden Shower of Hits had a few decent tracks but I can't stand anything else they've done. Black Flag was more consistently great, even if I don't listen to them as much as the aforementioned CJ albums.

Re: Greber, drum + bass grind/whatever from Canada
I dig 'em, hope they tour out west sometime soon. It's 2/3rds of Tungut, who were totally awesome. Greber's much less spastic and dissonant though. Marc's the bassist for Fuck the Facts too.

Getting rid of CDs and 7"es
Dunno how much this stuff'd interest any of the folks here but I'm trying to unload some of the stuff I don't listen to before I move. If I could get a buck or two for any of these I'd be happy, or we could rock a trade if you got anything I might be into. I like fast thrashy music that isn't influe...
