Be pretentious in this thread
We tried this at B9 a while ago, but I started to feel the high volume that the thread was experiencing took away from it's artistic merit. Perhaps moving to a smaller location with less traffic will allow for those who truly get it to participate.

Yeah right. You would try to regulate such a thread in a smaller online community, like some tactless dictator ready to falsely benign potential "threats". If you're going to do it right, just apply it in more than one simple forum. If you truly had your handle on your responsibility as a moderator, that is.

But how exactly does one define my responsibility as a moderator? If we accept the constructs of our sort of metaphysical language scheme that denotes the symbols "message board" and "moderator" to mean a virtual forum in which users users comunicate with eachother via series of text "posts" that enables them simulate physical correspondence and one who serves to maintain the forum's conduct and cultural nuances, than would only attempting to regulate one simple forum then be the responsible action in relation to the situations ethics?

Why hello there, chaps. I tried to read this thread but it was akin to a gaggle of eight year olds arguing over who has the best Huffy. Really, I quite enjoy the literary arts, but I must say that this message board is lacking in quality and civility. Perhaps that Mr. King fellow with the sophisticated classical guitar abilities can bring some worth to this dreadful place.

Re: Be pretentious in this thread
I just wrote a song about this thread called "All The Things We Wish We Could Pretend To Be" for my solo acoustic act, Never Forget Ever, in which I play simple folk tunes on an out of tune guitar while bleating out lyrics about friends, bikes and train hopping in my whiskey soaked heart of gold voice. Look for my split with Ghost Mice on Planet X. We each cover an AJJ song.

You guys used to be good until everyone knew about you. I mean, you're still alright, but you should have seen it when they weren't so polished. Amazing.

Then you'll go from being lonely to wishing that everybody would just fuck off because their a bunch of fucking buzzkills going on about how 'you've got a problem" and they "just want to be their to help you". You don't need any of them. You just need drugs.
