no, in the last NOT EVEN A DAY, I haven't YET added the two or three links to the couple bands I forgot that happen to include your band

You two need to fucking relax. Alexis, fact is this is Tyler's thing, and he pays for all of it. He gets to decide how things are run around here, and honestly I think it's pretty fair of him to even be asking for our input on this. Tyler, quit feeding the beast. This will simply spiral into a world of bullshit that no one wants to be a part of. Now, separate corners, and don't come back out until you both learn to play nice.


Oh, and I also like the new layout. When do you think you'll be making that the permanent front page?

That's rad. I'll try and start writing show reviews more consistently and posting them. I'm actually pretty fuckin' hyped on this new layout.

cool, thanks for the nice words. the main point of this is so that people can update show info on the main page (WAY better presentation than posting a response to a sticky thread) without bugging me to do it. so I hope people use it for that. but I'm down for whatever.

You see, this is why I'm an asshole. I immediately thought "Hey, this would be a good networking tool for me to promote myself!" ugh, sorry. I will definitely be using it for that. I also agree with the whole sticky thread thing, I never read that damn thread and I'm always surprised about shows. This will make it a lot, lot easier.

I'm totally down for other content too though. I think you have a really good idea and it'd be really great for our community as a whole to have some fun content like reviews, pictures, videos, and basically anything else that relates to VIHC in any way. and since this isn't a magazine, I don't care if it's cross-posted to your livejournal or somewhere else on the interwebs.

Alexis, be happy it's Tyler running this site and not me. I would have refused to put your band up because of how much you fucking complained. From now on, ask a question politely, and wait a couple days before even thinking of bringing it up again.

yo tambo! nope, the original site was hand-coded with html and css but this new one is wordpress and all configured within the wordpress panel. it suits the whole community contribution thing better than hand coding.

also, wordpress was definitely the right move tyler. it makes everything so much easier.
i'm going to hopefully have my old site running up again before the end of april.

Okay, just played around with it for a bit and added a couple of shows that are coming up. Very easy to use, and I'm digging it.

I put up the donate link but it buries the show listings. not sure how I feel about this. what do you guys think?
