this whole thread's a joke. the entire internet is actually a joke, I'm not getting all butt-hurt I'm just arguing with you because that's what I do on the internet. and I should point out I haven't grown up in the slightest regarding my political beliefs; in all seriousness I am not a 'reformist' and I have absolutely no desire to go through mainstream political channels to do anything whatsoever. so we're on the same page regarding lobbying for higher welfare, corporate taxes, and all that shit is just something that is (in the strictest sense of the word) possible, but so far from probable that its not worth seriously discussing .. bringing me back to my original point that this whole thread is a joke.SewnFlesh wrote:actually canon my comment was mostly a joke because I know you are a programmer and have been at your house a while back when you were "working" and it amounted to little more than what you said you were striding for. Theoretically I really don't think that lobbying for more welfare/higher corporate taxes/etc is going to do shit.. actually surprised to hear you say it. But that said.. I really could care less about people on welfare because I know that the money that goes towards social welfare is a drop in the bucket. And please don't paint me with quotes that i've never said either
In a related note, after putting forth my motion of "2012: the year of the welfare state" at the latest VIHC meeting Pauly told me to get a job. I was shocked and hurt, and in retaliation I am secretly forming a sub-committee to rocket-propel my idea to fruition, and us figuratively back into our mothers wombs.
