Yeah, I heard about that. I guess I'm not so much worried about "true hardcore" as I am cranky and misanthropist. I don't like dealing with new people, and it makes it a lot easier if I don't have to hold them by the hand and show them what hardcore is. I don't have the patience or energy for that sort of shit.
And yeah, I get how incredibly self-centered that is. Fuck it. That's why people like Jordan exist, to counteract people like me.

Willa is not old. i know he loves to say that but really 29 is still a baby and im not too far behind him so its not old!
and your right, i love you guys and of course i would be missing out on the best friends anybody could have but really, if that was the case, and thats how the scene in victoria had felt at the time id have been so dissapointed. im 8 years in, and i dont feel jaded or like i need to prove anything to anybody new as long as they uderstand how the dynamics of our "accepting" (although that excludes a few) group and then they will be fine.

Its not that I like new people. It's that every time I try and chat with new people I get one of two reactions: fear or anger. I'm damn smart, know a shitload about a shitload, and I'm not willing to compromise or say otherwise. This is arrogant, I get it. It also rubs people the wrong way. Also, I'm 6'2", covered in tattoos, constantly scowling, and have a bad habit of talking to myself. So yeah. New people and me don't get along. It's cool, though. There are people like you and Troy and Jordan in the scene who do a great job of chatting people up and getting them to come to shows. I'm the guy they hang out with after they get to know me more.

NEVER got that from you Willa. I'm the guy you think you are. You however were super nice and chatted us up right away.
