WASSUPWITHTHIS??

My immediate reaction is 'wtf'. I don't really know why, but it just bothers me that tegan and sara would have the audacity to rob the flag... I get the whole stealing logos and replacing the lettering, in the same font, with your b-and name, but i don't get what this accomplishes -- other than robbing the artistic originality and genius of the black flag logo. I mean, it really doesn't matter i was just kind of weirded out... it kind of felt like the whole Rocky Votolato conversation: house s-hows without the ethos...
Anyone else have an opinion?

It surprises me how many hc kids get the Tegan and Sara bars tattooed on them.

I would rather see Tegan and Sara's name beside the bars over some of the chump hardcore bands that do it.

I don't mind Tegan and Sarah but this shirt is going to go over 99% of their fans heads. Resulting in tons of dickheads talking about bands ripping off a Tegan and Sarah shirt, kids getting the bars tattooed thinking it's a Tegan and Sarah tattoo etc. (yes I am being a little extreme but fuck it...)

If anything I bet you it's a tribute to Black Flag, considering Henry Rollins was in the band and is a HUGE proponent of Lesbian/Gay rights. Maybe they'll get sued. Or maybe Henry Rollins/Greg Ginn will shrug because it means a new generation of kids that will discover punk.

I could understand that if the shirt said "listen to black flag" but just useing the bars is probably too obscure of a reference for people who aren't already in the know.

It's not that obscure of a reference. I've seen the Black Flag bars everywhere. It's not like they put the old Napalm Death logo on the shirt.
