we played to five kids (three of whom were in another grind band that opened for us) while about 40 or so more sat on the front lawn of the house and drank, some girl smoked heroin in the bathroom of the house and threw her longboard at somebody and the guy from the house didn't give us any money because he kept insisting that we'd "already hit the road" even when our drummer went up to him and insisted that we had not so we managed to scrounge together $20 to put towards gas money in assorted change from the kids who sat on the front lawn drinking and not watching us and got the fuck out of there. it made for a good story at least.

Yeah the fun house can be like that. we are opening so im sure we are playing to actually no one. ahhahaah oh well. I feel so out of place there too. The bandds playing are great except W.O.B. not a fan at all bu the fun house people love them for some reason. trendy shit.

Doesn't sound too far off our Funhouse experience except there were a few more people. :)

if you're opening your chances are probably better, the opening band was the only one anybody watched at our show (unfortunately they were some rock band who played for like an hour... weird). damn kids these days and their short attention spans.

what a piece of shit show. B-lines, Nu Sensae and Grown ups all dropped off the show. We still played to like 20 people though so whatever. Jay-Z was covered.

I heard that there was no P.A. so they played at Scratch records instead. I heard there were more than 20 people at Scratch records...

LOL there was a full PA there and there was going to be at least 50 people at the show in ABBY for christ sake the FB page had 172 people. The bands dropped off the bill 1 hour before the show. They could've at least asked the rest of the bands on the bill if they wanted to play instead of just the bands with their hipster friends in them. Whatever I still had fun I just seems laugable that a band can drop of a bill one hour before a show when a band with 4 17 year olds can pile into a car with 3 other people in a car meant for five can make it. Whatever just bitter b/c I'm jealous they played inside Scratch

Sounds like they just hears all the horror storeis about the Fun house, used "No P.A." as an excuse and bailed on what they thought woulda been a shitty show. Driving to Abbotstford and playing to 20 people sounds alot less fun tahn staying downtown and playing to 60...can you blame 'em? Kinda shitty to dicth ona show a couple hours before it happens, but what do you do? SOunds like you guys had fun anyway...

Yes, you can blame them. Bands should honor their commitments.

I fault no one for not wanting to play the Funhouse in the first place but if that's the case just turn down the show to begin with.
