Hey Jordan
I am now listening to Youth of Today for the first time. I really like the music, the vocals might take some warming up to though!!

Re: Hey Jordan
Listening now! This isn't too bad. They seem to have two different sounds? One being pop punk-ish...the other beng more straight forward hardcore...hmmm

Re: Hey Jordan
Mouthpiece is kind of an odd form of youth crew. They were around in the 90's and put a bit of their own spin on it. They keeps a lot of the basics but adds a bit more of a "dark" feeling to it. Youth Of Today on the other hand is just straight up youth crew and where it really started. Just trying to give you an idea of the genre and see it's not quite as generic/recycled as most people think.
Glad your into some of these bands. Any excuse for me to ramble on about them is great.
For another very important 90's youth crew band, I suggest checking out:

Re: Hey Jordan
I think I heard a lot of dissing of Youth Crew bands from Willa/Zach. Probably because they like people who are happy. A lot of this is no more recycled than your garden variety metal/hardcore/punk. Fun stuff.

yes. But I can understand why some people would argue it. They're wrong, but I get why they might think thatRude Boy Puff wrote:Does Judge count as youth crew?

Re: Hey Jordan
Floorpunch is proof you can be both hard and youth crew.Rude Boy Puff wrote:Are you not allowed to be hard as fuck and be Youth Crew?
"You don't know who you're fucking with! You're messing with the wrong crew! Blow that smoke in my face, and God knows what I'll do."
like any style. There were/are some killer bands and some bands that maybe shouldn't have happened.

I think I will jam Battery now, thank you chad.
90's youth crew isn't really the same as 90's hardcore. Check out In My Eyes (as mentioned above) and Ten Yard Fight. You might dig them.keith. wrote:the whole hardcore genre in the 90s is lost on me so whateva
