i think they sound pretty good, maybe the guitars need to be a little crisper sounding but that's just me!

Thanks guys, I will try and fix the guitar, he was using fuzz so it will probably not be crisper, and Shelby sings at like half the volume as Mike its really difficult to work with.

I like the gnarliness of the guitar sound, but having a guitar sound that big does make the drums sound smaller beside it. You might want to try dirtying up the drums a bit too. Bass tone is cool.

If you have the mics/gear to do it, you might want to try recording Mike through two amps, one set thin and clear and the other set as he has it. Then you can blend the two to give some more note definition to the guitar's fuzz tone.

I almost bought an A/B Switch today to have two guitar tracks that are identical timing but different tone, but bought other shit instead haha.

There is two guitar tracks though, similar tones though. I'll see what i can do about the drums.

Thanks Andrew!

Oh and were gonna make a tape limited to ten copies for our next Vancouver show! Its gonna have all these new recordings and I will save you one!

In a pinch the classic white Boss tuner pedal functions as a splitter pedal too.

Thanks dude, I'd love one of those tapes!

It has two outs on it, the only difference is one isn't muted when you activate the tuner. For your purposes here just run a patch cable from each out into a separate amp.

be warned that it's very likely to cause annoying buzz/hum (or excessively exaggerate it) if you do that, especially if:
-using vintage amps
-using the same outlet (via power bar) to power both amps and/or the pedal
-using an "all in one" power source or poor quality power adapter
-preceding lots of other effects
-after lots of other effects

lots of this can be fixed with that radial ABY pedal I have... but not completely

mix the bass to the center, if you have two guitar tracks, put them at each side, but not hard panned to each side.
