all the "punk goes.." comps feature bands that are the farthest thing from actual punk.
i think the closest they ever got was one of the versions of "punk goes acoustic" that featured tguk, jimmy eat world, thrice, and brand new, and even then those bands are still a far strech from punk.

Who says I'm mad? I just think it's funny that you're so adamant about something most people would just shrug off and say "I guess I was mistaken." I don't regret being drunk and singing along or even drunkenly saying I liked them. People do lots of strange things under the influence. It's not like I woke up the next morning and recoiled in horror at the Jimmy Eat World record beside me in bed, hoping against hope that my Amebix records don't find out and leave me.
(The Amebix records were a pretty disappointed, but we'd been through so much together that they were willing to work through that rough patch.)

You're the one getting worked up over this, dude. I'm not debating that I ever got drunk and sang along or even said that I liked them. I just think it's funny how important it is to you that I like, or liked, or like only with the right mix of booze in my system, Jimmy Eat World. I think it's kind of funny that no matter how many times I say "oh yeah I was drunk, but I'm not really that into them" you argue that I actually do like them and have at least 2 witnesses to prove it. I'm not upset, a little perplexed maybe, but mostly I think it's funny.
