I didn't know that they reissued you fail me. I put in an order for the jane doe reissue a couple weeks ago, just waiting for it to ship.

Re: Recent purchases
It's actually not a reissue. The label had 101 1st pressings of You Fail Me left on vinyl, with no jackets to put them in. Instead of keeping them around collecting dust, they made 101 screen printed covers and sold them in their e-store. They sold out in a few short minutes, and I was lucky enough to be up early in the morning just after they went live.

Re: Recent purchases
woo just got this in the mail when i came in from groceries. great suprise.
Kicking Spit/Stymie Split 7" (black 27/50 tour 2010 cover)
i cant recommend either band enough. Stymie is actually doing a split with Unfun come summertime so keep an eye out for that.
Kicking Spit are a poppy dinosaur jr worship band. they rule hard.
Stymie is the guitarist from ANS doing a screaching weasel type worship band.

Link?xchadx wrote:The jackets were like 70 bucks each with shipping? Or something like that? Embroidery was 100 each. Expensive, but cheaper then what you'd pay for a leather varsity jacket. Could have gotten embroidery done cheaper if I did it somewhere like Washington or whatever, but this guy did a great job so whatever. Probably the best price for a Vegan friendly varsity jacket I've come across online.

Re: Recent purchases
Finally bought a copy of

at Ditch on Friday before going to Salt Spring for the weekend. Lots of LSD and smack. Slept in the woods with this hippie my friend and I met on the long, long walk to Ganges. Guy at Ditch was kind of a tool, though. Told me he doesn`t listen to any new music because there are too many people talking about it...what the fuck is that shit? Think it`s the guy who runs the place. You know the one with the long hair? We`d been talking about the new Joanna Newsom before it came out (told me the day he got the LPs in that he wishes she`d stop playing the harp. What the hell?) and now he says he`ll listen to it again in a few years, when people stop discussing it. Homie needs to stop giving a fuck what people think of the music he likes and just LIKE it for what it is.

Re: Recent purchases
Oh that guy sold me a Merzbow CD once and was checking the underside of it before selling it to me and muttered "I dont think it's really going to make a difference if there are any scratches on the disc..."
Re: Recent purchases
Hahahahahahahahaha! Holy shit... Yeah, the people there run a tiny store and know NOTHING about their inventory. I sent a friend of mine to pick up that Joanna Newsom CD since I had to work the morning it came out, and I had a gift certificate for the exact amount of the CD, supposedly. Turned out to be more expensive than what they assured would be... That was fucking great. Good thing I sent him with enough money to pick up the ONE FUCKING Merzbow CD they had (the one on the Japanese Tzadik label, don't remember the name) which I knew was there, since it was there the night before and there was no way they sold a fucking Merzbow CD that morning. There is one section it could have been in and there was only one there, but somehow my friend came back empty handed. He said the three people there looked and looked but couldn't find it. Later that day, after work, I walked in, walked directly to the avant-garde wall, grabbed the CD immediately, guy rang me up, and I left. Took less than 5 minutes. Jesus Christ.
