this morning I had an overwhelming urge to jam this record. too fucking good for what it is.
The lyrical content of this record pretty well summarizes what I think id the mid to late teen years of most of us so well. I often make bold claims like “___________ is the best band to ever come out of Vancouver” I’m not going to jump the gun and say something so bold right now about reserve 34 but I do think this record is the perfect embodiment of the “Vancouver sound” in terms of hardcore.

reserve and d.b.s. are, in my opinion, the 2 best bands to ever come out of Vancouver. Rain City Games changed my life. No joke. Getting to play with this band was probably one of the best days of my life.

Into this band.
I bought this 10" from Interpunk when Hunter told me there were some still up on there.
Best purchase i have ever made from interpunk.

do you really think the 4 of us can all settle on one R34 song? maybe we should just cover rain city games from start to finish

And once again I'm left out in the cold all by myself, the world has suddenly died, but I don't really mind because it's beautiful in an obscene way.

I am glad I have this record even though they were way before my time in Vancouver. At least I got to see a couple Reserve 34 covers at the last Seylynn Hall show.
