for anyone feeling any pangs of maudlin sentimentality (or younger folk curious about fossil records) - our Soy 7" from '97.
we hope to release sometime before the spring a 10 song something-or-other of new crap.
Cruiser will have to work 80-hour weeks in March and after that the gardening businesses that Paul and I run will start getting busy again, so we hope to get in a buncha gigs/recording before then, like upisland and maybe one or two in Van.
bandcamp apparently doesn't allow a bandname less than four letters in the URL, hence:
http://sooooy.bandcamp.com/
thanks Cruiser for putting this shit together
wished I coulda seen Rotting Hills tonight

Lemme just say I've sold two copies of the Soy 7" down at Talk's Cheap in the past year and a half, and people were stoked to get them...

no, but in 91 - 94 I drummed for MPA, whose vocalist is the TWP drummer Jason
distant conection, I guess.

I have some recollection of a Soy show in Nanaimo. Maybe in spring of 96? Did that happen or am i imagining it?

cool question considering your username!
yup. I'll be jiggered who it was with, though. Cruiser's voice was completely gone - yet for the gig, he summoned the "Cruiserness" to belt it out like normal, and then immediately after the set he couldn't talk again.
total trooper

That first song was a useful lesson in grammar.
