Picked these up today
DAG NASTY-85-86 Fucking amazing. Only recording with orginal singer Shawn Brown, who actually wrote all the lyrics for the songs on the Can I Say Lp that Dave Smalley sang. The vocals are alot better in my opinion, he sounds enraged, but also quiets down at times, and the recording isn't quite as slick, so it ultimately sounds more genuine to me.
400 HUNDRED YEARS-The New Imperialism Pretty kickass 'post-hardcore'(or something). Really good quiet/loud dynamics. Not much of a fan of the singy parts, but the rest is really good.
JESUS LIZARD-Liar. Killer stuff, I wouldn't be suprised if they were a heavy influence on Damages.
SLANT 6-soda pop rip off. Sweet all girl power-pop/70's styled punk on dischord.
GOB-Too late, no friends. Fuck you, you know it rules.

Three gems! I listened to the Jesus Lizard Peel Sessions today. Love The Jesus Lizard.
The Jesus Lizard are a huge influence on Damages. 400 Years and Swiz are influences on Damages too.

Hey Mike, I just traded in two CD's of Shawn Browns other band Jesuseater. One EP, one LP "Step Into my Death Ray". I wouldn't be surprised if they were still there. They're pretty fucking rad you should check them out.
