Anyone know how to re-wire a guitar would be willing to do it for free/trade/or cheap?

once I had to re-solder the input jack on my old ibanez. I had to balance it on a table and do the soldering mid-air. it sucked. I'm surprised I didn't burn myself. needless to say, I should not be doing guitar repairs.
