So I'm making this thread so scott and I can discuss our love of wigger slam death metal.
any body else can get in on this to.

like heres a good question which band started slam death metal. a lot of people say suffocation, but I think cannibal corpse is far more responsible.

Cannibal Corpse did not start "slam death metal". And no I'm not mad, I just think wigger-slam death metal is the college frat boy of music. Deep down inside no one likes him, he probably hates himself too. Completely superficial and ignorant. Yet if you've got your buzz on at a party and he comes out with a giant keg and free pot-stickers, you'd maybe just get along with him for the night.

Suffocation/Dying Fetus definitely. I would also say that some people latched onto Cannibal Corpse, who liked WSDM as well. But that was ONLY during the George Fischer era. I think most of them thought Chris Barnes pre-mental retardation (aka: NOT all his work with Six Feet Under) was too "much". Wrong. Wrong. I guess Pyrexia had a lot to do with it too...but that band...no comment.
Regardless, Wormed is the best "slam" death metal. But even then I would struggle to put them with dogfuck like Devourment or whaetever psuedo-brutal metalcore-esque garbage is being churned out of New York gutters.

i think there's some better slam bands than wormed, but wormed is still definitely one of the few diamonds in their genre.
