Bands you feel like you should like but can't get into

Converge. I dunno why but I just can't get down.

As for Joy Division, in spite of "Love will Tear us Apart" (probably the worst song they did) being constantly crammed down everyones throat, and all the stupid "indie" bands that rip them off and/or do shitty covers, AND all the annoying hollywood crap movies that their songs show up in, AND the fact that ass loads of stupid fixied gear riding pretentious assholes all think they are cool, they are in fact an amazing band. I don't think any song ever can make me feel how I do when I listen to Decades, that songs hits me like a ton of bricks.

The Ergs! do a rad cover of the Gin Blossoms better than the original imo. The Smiths are awesome no ifs ands or butts.

No trolling, I don't really understand the appeal of either The Smiths or Morrissey. I've found the music to be incredibly boring, and while Morrissey's vocal chords aren't debilitated, they don't stand out for me at all.

Cursed (dunno, just find them boring)
Tragedy (the words "melodic" and "crust" should never go together for any reason)
Brutal Truth other than Need to Control (there's just tons of way better early grind, i dunno)
Tom Waits (nothing really against the dude, just have never been able to get into it... i'm sure it'll click one day)
not crazy about The Smiths either but they have a few good songs, used to love Joy Division at one point but can't take them seriously anymore.
